Christine has been providing trauma therapy and DBT therapy to adults, teens, and families at TBC for CBT since April 2017. Christine completed the 10-day Core DBT Clinical Training in 2014 and became a DBT®-Linehan Board Certified Clinician in 2021. Christine also has advanced training in two evidence-based trauma treatments -– DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Christine has over 30 years in clinical social work and management in New York City and Florida in settings that include: outpatient and emergency mental health; day and residential treatment; foster care; juvenile justice; and runaway and homeless youth programs. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Hunter College in New York City.
Christine is committed to ongoing professional education and development. Recent trainings include: DBT Prolonged Exposure for PTSD (Melanie Harned, PhD); Working with Emotion Dysregulation in Families (Alan E. Fruzzetti, PhD); Cognitive Processing Therapy: An Evidence-Based Approach to Treat PTSD (Kathleen M. Chard, PhD); Antiracism in DBT (Dr. Faria Kamal and Dr. Marcus Rodriguez); Adherence in DBT Individual Therapy (Melanie Harned, PhD); and Treating Traumatic Invalidation among Transgender and Gender Diverse People (Melanie Harned, PhD and Colleen Sloan, PhD).
