Heidi started working and training at TBC for CBT in September, 2019.  She is currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern  working towards state requirements for licensure. She received her A. S. in Human Services and Counseling at Hillsborough Community College, Tampa Florida in 2014. In April of 2016, she received an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Saint Leo University, San Antonio Florida. While pursuing a graduate degree, Heidi worked for the Department of Children and Families as a Dependency Case Manager. In August 2018, she completed her Masters in Social Work (Specialization in Advanced Clinical Practice) at Saint Leo University, San Antonio, FL and shortly after gained employment as a Clinical Therapist at a Residential Foster Home specializing in Adolescents in Motherhood.

Heidi has over 6 years experience working for non for profit organizations in the Tampa Bay Area that include Head Start, The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Lutheran Services and Paxen (DJJ Diversion Program)

Heidi ‘s passion is to someday implement DBT in Middle School and High Schools in Hillsborough County as a required core elective.

Her training and skills that she brings to TBC for CBT include working with Trauma related conditions, using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (TF-CBT).  Social Work Deployment Working with Military Families; Child Abuse and Neglect, Trust Based Relational Intervention; Nurturing Parenting Program Facilitator, DBT.
